Ahhh my local get away.

You guessed it have gone away again for the weekend. This weekend i have only gone a couple of miles it's a lovely little site just of the A370 at cleeve.
The site is called kingswood farm it is a cl site that has only 5 units, it has its own facilities 2 showers and 2 toilets.
I came here earlier last year 2013 with my son for a couple of night, we had a great time, although the weather was much better than at the moment.
There are plenty of aminatees nearby there is a pub serving drinks and hot food at the bottom of the hill called the lord Nelson and a small local shop in Cleeve. this sells minimal food stuffs nut is perfect for milk and a paper or a few other bits you may need.
If you like walking this is a bngood site as there are a lot of woodland walks around here. There are many acres of woodland to choose from and there are enough paths  to keep you going all weekend.
There is an airport nearby and unfortunately the site is in the flight path so you will get flights approximately every 20 minutes during the day time but after 11 o'clock at night they tend to stop.
It's been really good to get away this weekend and when i arrived last night, i was quite surprised to see how many caravans were here, i think many of them the people are living in them, as this is a local site i have noticed the vans have been here for some weeks. It's a sad situation of our times people having to live in there caravans, although living in a caravan sounds quite appealing to me.
It's nearly 11 o'clock and i've been set drinking tea all morning and waiting for the lady to come to take my money, as i don't think she arrives till approximately 11.30
Went for a walk a little later and got my self cought in storm. I walked up the hill and into congressbury wood that is a large plantation that has a footpath running through the middle of it. And I did get a video done. LoL
after lunch I decided it was time for a another walk. I had been couped up all week and just wanted to get out. There had been some big storms durring the lunch hour so had been in the van for to long then too.
I headed down towards Cleeve and remembered (as I was actually a local . LoL) to walk to the local garden centre and have one of there lovely cakes and a cup a tea.  Cup a tea and cake £3.50. Bargain!.
It's a small garden centre but it has the usual stuff. Plants. LoL.
Maybe cook my tea and head back down again later for a pint. :-)

Another great weekend. Don't forget to check out the video on YouTube.

On a whim.

Well I have decided  to go out on a whim. Well to be honest I Igor locked out my house and the dear wife has my keys.
We were all ready this morning so we left to take my wife to work then I had to pop and see my mum to check see was ok as she is elderly but still quite active but she lives alone and i do worry about her so check on her most days .
To day was not that different from the normally so far. Then after visiting mum I had to take My son to school. This is about a 30 mile round trip that I do on a daily basis.

| had dropped my son at school and it was time to return home to get on with the homely chores. When l got there | quickly realised that the keys l had given to my Wife to lock the front door when We left were not returned to me therfore not allowing me any access
to my house. Ahhhhhhhh......
Not one to give up easily I'd decided right | should go and make the use of this missfortunte event and have a day out somewhere. then a son davvned on me "ah no fuel" or rather very little. So o opted to stay local. Not sure is many people would do this but it's a great opportunity to see Where you live from a Completely different perspective.
There are quite a few nice spots that can be found if your willing to loom for them.
| opted for Clevedon. This is not far from me and | expect you may have heard of it especially the peir.
There is a small Coast road and it is a Iovelly spot if you want to stop and just look at the sea ans have a nice
It was a cold day and there was a heavy frost the night before so the ban did feel somewhat damp but | did have a few provisions in there for emergencies so was ok for the day ahead.
This is the Iovelly thing about my Camper | don't have to do Without. Why would | have to call out a Iocksmith to get me into my house when | Could use this opportunity to go and have another day out in my van?
cheers people. :-)
